So this is pretty cool… Our glass bottle Maier-Dielman Modules are not just Life friendly, but Life enhancing!
We took apart a small structure that we built four weeks ago and had a surprise when we got down to the foundation layer of modules. The grass was growing inside the modules! In the space between bottles, grass and other plants were sprouting up. In fact, the grass inside was noticeably more robust than the grass around the structure!
This is a super exciting proof-of-concept discovery. It means that our vision of a green house with fruit and flower bearing vines are growing up around, inside and outside the modules, is in fact totally possible! Of course, it makes sense, the glass is translucent and let’s the light in. The modules have spaces in between them to allow plants to climb. And most significantly, because we can build on non-cement foundation, plants can sprout up around and in the modules.
Imagine a house green with all the plants growing in its walls!
