Hi guys, you’ve been following my blogs on our play with combining solar and wind energy with trash.  After all this play I see the destination!  Here’s the vision:  creating one of our handy clutch bags with a built in solar panel, battery and charging circuit.

The handy bag will be just the right size for your cell phone, pens, keys, etc. and will sport a USB plug where you can connect your phone to charge it.  Won’t that be awesome?  Rather than a charger or a bag made from some un-recyclable plastic in a big Chinese factory, you will be able to order a bag that is

1. Made in a Filipino village by mothers and grandmothers who spend their wages on education and good food.

2.  Made using trash that would otherwise contaminate,

3.  Functions using open source circuitry, and solar energy!

My goal is to launch a Kickstarter campaign to make alot of these.  But, first, I thought I broadcast the idea to my followers to see if any of you would like to be part of the innovation process as we create the first prototype.  I basically need some small investors to help fund the procurement of the solar panels. In exchange for a 60$ investment (that’s 40$ less for a prototype than what you’ll find on volaic.com, you’ll get a bag custom made to your specs (tell me your favorite color, brand, preferred size, etc) and sent to you (I might have to add some more for the shipping).  I need about three people to order one and I can order the right solar panel components from the factory.

And, I can get it to you before Christmas.  I am super passionate about this idea right now, and I already have prototype casings made, the electronics and panels selected.

Drop me a line if you are interested!  Let’s do this.
