Yesterday, the women of bank sampah Sawo Kecik, Sleman invited us to introduce ecobricking. A full house of participants showed up. The women (and a few men) were keen to pack.
These women are conscious and passionate about the environment and their community. So much so that Ibu Titi has for years refused to throw away her sachet plastic because she knew it was unrecyclable and would just end up poisoning somewhere. She has a giant pile at home. “Now at last I know what to do with it– We’ll be making lots of Ecobricks.”A big thanks to Ibu Sri and Ibu Koes from Asosiasi bank sampah Yogyakarta who assisted us in the presentation.
