It’s all come together! The pottery, the bamboo and all the other details. We’ve moved forward and replaced the glass from the previous Lotus Cradle Design with an egg shaped pottery tank. This cuts down on the cost and technical challenges of making the Lotus Cradle and take advantages of clay’s unique properties.
This is only the second model of this design. It still needs some longer term testing to see how it holds the water. Inside I’ve experimented with a layer of silicone to water fast the pottery. This solves a big problem we had before of the too much water leaking through the pottery.
With this all pottery model, there lies the potential for a fully organic, hand made , locally crafted water home and business solution that is cost competitive with comparable manufactured plastic setups.
